Jump, Jump, Jump

If you've been hanging out with Lilah lately you'll know her very favorite thing to do is jump. I think she learned about jumping rope from Sesame Street since they jump and jump rope a lot (or it's just that she's seen the same few episodes numerous times On Demand). This started before we went to Hawaii and now it is a daily occurence (many time throughout the day). She will use strings and cords to "jump", but granny made her a Lilah size jumprope that she uses most of the time now. In her dancing and music class today we used plastic jumpropes as snakes slithering on the ground...but not Lilah, she used it as a jump rope. She doesn't actually jump over the jumprope though, it's more like the jumprope flails while she jumps up and down. We need to post our video of it because it's pretty funny.

So, yesterday we went to our friends' son (Adam's) 6th birthday at a place called Kidz Bounce. On our way there we wondered what Lilah would actually be able to do and how long we'd be staying since we knew there would be a lot of "older" boys and that these bouncy toys were made really for older children. And...we were way off. Turns out our bouncing maniac is quite the dare devil and those older boys didn't scare her one bit. She wanted to be in the middle of all the action. And...we stayed for the entire length of the party....with a crying toddler when we were leaving. She loved it. Lance went with her most of the time and bounced, threw balls, fell down, shot baskets in one of the bouncy toys. Her very favorite was the slide. I think Lance probably went down that 20 times. He for sure got his workout in yesterday. She even finally went down quite a few times all by herself! And when she would get to the bottom she giggled so hard, and then wanted right back up to go again.
Super fun party and Lilah really had the time of her life!

p.s. if you're in the market for a birthday cake, Christina (Adam's mom, our friend) makes the most awesome cakes...they are beautiful and it was probably the best cake I have ever eaten. I am not even the biggest fan of cakes, but I keep thinking about that strawberry cake from yesterday...oh yum!
