Beautiful Baby Kylee
Lilah and I got our first visit with Kylee today. Well...I did. Lilah sadly couldn't see her in the NICU. I'm guessing it's because young kids can be such germtraps and all of those babies in there are so fragile.
Kylee is beautiful - a lot of blonde hair (probably as much as when Lilah was born...I can't wait to see how much hair she has in two months!) and such a sweet little face. Mandi says everyone in the NICU calls her a "pistol". She gets a little testy sometimes and lets everyone know it. Kylee is for sure a fighter and already showing some of her mom's strong will. Mandi looks great and seems to be so strong and fierce herself. Van got the job of entertaining my mom, Lilah and I since only one of us could be with Mandi and Kylee at a time. He did a good job at it, and Lilah really loves him. Here are a few pictures from our visit.
This last picture was taken in the waiting area by the wonderful photographer Lilah. I thought Van should make an appearance and all the other pictures Lilah took were from the neck down of Van. ;)

1st Annual Friends Camping Trip!
We've been talking about this for years but have never made it happen. Last year just us girls got away in July to Chelan for some wine tasting, pool sitting, and time away from the families. This year we vowed to make it our first year of camping with all the hubbies and kids. It was definitely a success!
We decided on Crescent Bar and had two sites right next to each other that we all piled onto. Perfect. We shared meals, snacks, and all the camping amenities. The kids all played great together and seemed to all have a blast. We spent a majority of our time either in the pool at the campground or at the little beach area there in Crescent Bar. It gave all the kids an opportunity to practice sharing too (what a bonus)! At night we would put on a movie for the kids to wind them down and when all the kids were in bed the adults played games (Kevin- jean jacket jean jacket) or sat around the lantern and chatted.
Here are some pictures of the kids playing and some of our fun times together! Thanks ladies for such a great time and making fond memories with us.

Swim Lessons
We signed up for swim lessons at the Kirkland outdoor pool again this year. The unfortunate part is that we missed the best two days of sunshine and pool time because we were so sick (we got a really nasty stomach bug over here for almost a week)! Oh, and we haven't had much sun then for the rest of the classes. Been kind of a bummer, but fun to do it with Liz and Clara. I haven't been good at taking pictures (mainly because I am in the pool with Lilah and it's a circus show the entire time we're at the pool), but here are a few from the first day we made it. Lilah has loved it - she LOVES the water. She's not nearly as brave as Clara, but still can dunk her head under water, blow bubbles and is working on her kicks and "reach and pulls". It's been nice...and now that they're coming to a wrap I've warned Julie that we'll probably be inviting ourselves much more often to her pool to practice her moves. ;)

Day Date #2
This time it was just Lance and I. Lilah got to go to her favorite place on earth....no, not Disneyland. Granny's house. And Lance and I got to go out for a nice breakfast and hit up a Mariners game. It was a beautiful day and nice to go out just the two of us. We could actually have a conversation and focus on the two of us. And, the Mariners actually won which is pretty amazing in itself. Lilah and granny had fun too (so much so that Lilah didn't really want to come home with us).
