We met Amy (in my PEPS group) and Hunter a few weeks ago for a day at the park. We found this little neighborhood park near downtown Kirkland that's never busy and has a fence all the way around it. It has some toddler size play toys too, so it's really a fun place to go. Apparently though I need to take Lilah to sandboxes more often because she decided this day that she would put a handful of sand in her eye (yep, right in the eyeball), which was fun as I had a mini-freakout session wondering if I needed to flush out the sand with my waterbottle. Luckily, with my digging and her blinking, it came all out on it's own.

Playin' with Hunter

BL Nights with the Muchlinskis
It's been a tradition for over a year now. We watch Biggest Loser with the Muchlinskis every Tuesday (and in the summer Julie comes over to watch great tv such as the Bachelorette...sigh...how I do miss that show). We do dinner and dessert and have a merry ole time together.
At our last dinner Julie didn't want to feel left out just because she's pregnant...so she had her milk in a wine glass. :)
Rockin Out
Vaughn's Birthday....Minus the Birthday Boy
We celebrated Vaughn's birthday in September...without Vaughn! He was sick all weekend and wasn't up for the cheesy potatoes and ham ala Lana. So, we celebrated his birth anyhow and Lilah got to visit with Faith and Griffin. It's so fun now because Lilah can really "play" with them and they are really good with Lilah. Griffin tried to play school, which was sort of frustrating because Lilah was not a very good student or listener. Faith always just wants to hold Lilah, but she's not too much of a sitter any more. She's way too busy and social to just sit in someone's lap for longer than a few minutes (max). She did have a lot of fun with them and in grandma and grandpa's playroom and kiddie kitchen.
F is for: Fall, Football, Friends and Fashion!
We've had a pretty busy fall! We went over to Spokane and Pullman to visit our very good friends, the Lofstedts, in September. We went to our token one Cougar football game and ate at Sella's (delish!) on a beautiful sunny day. Lilah absolutely adores Olivia and Nolan (and I think the feeling is quite mutual) as much as we adore Shane and Kelli.
Lilah and I had a fun date at Kelsey Creek Park with Jackie and Grace. The girls loved the animals and swinging on the swings.
There are a few shots I took of Lilah also showing off the latest fall fashions for 1 year olds - boots and a cute sweat outfit are necessities!
September
Here are some pictures of when my wonderful friend Emily and her girls visited us all the way from the ATL. We had a great time with them and Lilah and Lucy were so very cute together (Lilah's only a month and a half older than Lucy). We had to take some pictures too of Lilah being silly with the laundry and in her beanbag chair. And of course some silly hair pictures with daddy. :)
Excuses, Excuses...
This is the truth, not just an excuse....
so, beginning in maybe August Lilah stopped the two nap program and went down to one nap. To make this long, drawn out story much shorter...her two 1 1/2 hour naps has now gone down to ONE 1 1/2 hour naps. Needless to say, in that little window of time the priority of this blog has seriously gone to #137. Things such as showering, doing my hair, laundry, cleaning, attempting to do some bible reading and returning emails have all went to the top of the priority list.
So now, I just have to give pictures for the last 3 months (yikes!!) that I have missed and hope and pray that someone decides to check our blog again. Then I am vowing to write very short stories and post pictures more often. My apologies. Blame Lilah for her short naps. :)
These pictures are back in August when Lilah was wrapping up her swim lessons (you wouldn't believe it by the cloudy day) and some other pictures (when both of us were quite tan from our running and playing outside).
