Bathtime is a Blast

Lilah (and daddy too) love bath time! They both are in there usually giggling and splashing around. It's Lance's special time just with her, and my time to finish dinner or just sit on the couch and do nothing for a few minutes. When Lilah was a teeny baby she absolutely hated baths. She mostly screamed her way through them. Now, she loves it (minus the drying and lotioning part....crazy I know! I would love it if someone would hand dry me after a shower and lotion/massage me!!).

Tatum's Tea Party

What a fun idea! Jess' (I went to college with her - one of the girls in my sorority...woooo KDs!!)little girl Tatum turned 3 last week so she had a bunch of girls over for a tea party. So cute! Unfortunately, Lilah's a little young even for a little girl tea party. She had to stick to her puffs and banana (instead of the little "tea sandwiches" (aka: pb&j) and cupcakes). Jess had little tea cups and tea (aka: apple juice) for all the little girls, but Lilah just used her sippy to drink water. I know...boring. But, next year she's all over a tea party!! The best part (for me) was dressing Lilah up in the CUTEST outfit and putting a big floppy hat on her (granny got it for her months and months ago and she has never worn it). This was the expected attire, and we went for it. I just think she is the cutest (I told her that too, numerous times today). She did so well with all the big girls and played and kept her hat on even most of the time. Girls are so much fun!
p.s. Oh, and as you can see, Lilah's friend Grace was not too happy at picture time (why do we ALWAYS wait until the end of these things to take pictures? we never learn!!). That makes these even more priceless though!!

Grandpa Schulz's birthday

We went to Quincy for the weekend to celebrate grandpa Schulz's 85th (I think...it's escaping my mind right now if that's the right age) birthday. A lot of Lance's mom, Lana's, family was there. They live mainly in Quincy and Tri-cities area, so we don't see them but about once a year. It was so fun to see them, their kids and of course, Lance's very sweet grandparents. They were thrilled that most of the family could be there to celebrate. Lilah's favorite person was Lance's cousin Jens, which is very strange seeing that she doesn't usually do well with strangers. She just loved him though. She was such a flirt and even let him hold her and she just smiled and stared at him so much. I wish so bad I got a picture of the two of them. We did get a picture of all the kids (sort of) - and you always have to have a crier (Hailey...what a cutie!) to make for a good shot. Lilah's trying to comfort her in that first shot. :)

Sweet Spring

Spring came early (and as I'm typing it has temporarily checked out of Western Washington as we've had tons of rain, stormy weather, and chilly temps)! We had some mid to high 60 degree days and it was so beautiful here (Seattle is definitely one of the most pretty places in the sunshine).
One afternoon Lilah and I sat on a blanket having a snack and just enjoying the sun (she used to HATE any sort of sun with a passion, but I think she's starting to like the outdoors...just like her mama and daddy). That following Saturday was in the high 60s and so nice. I wanted to post a video of her on the swings (which she loves and giggles when she's on them), but it took me way too long and I never could quite figure it out. So, instead I'll post the pictures of our sunny days together. I can hardly wait for summer! I signed Lilah up for "Aqua Tots" in downtown Kirkland at their outdoor pool for July. So fun for us!!

Birthday Planning

Yes, I did start early. I've been planning Lilah's birthday in my head for a very long time. I knew I would have the theme be "princesses" because she is our little princess and it screams GIRLS and PINK! The invitations are out, the paper products and plasticware is here, the balloons are in, my mom is working on her high chair decorations, and Emily is sending a package full of fun birthday things. The only thing is coming to the place where I accept that my little baby is almost a year old already. Wow...how that precious time flies.

I'm on a roll....

Woot woot....but now Lilah will be up soon, so I've got to sign off. :) Check back at the end of the week. I'm hoping to put a video on here of Lilah on swings at the park from a few weeks ago when it was so beautiful here...and she loves it.

March Birthday Extravaganza!

That's what I called the Wiley Birthday Celebration - 4 kids and 1 grandpa's birthday makes for a serious party! We had fun celebrating the Wiley birthdays. Lilah loves her uncle Vaughn and loved playing with all the kids' toys (although not sure that they like it when she gets their brand new birthday gifts) and again, screaming at them because she just loves other kids. She wants to be included now and wants them not to forget that Miss Lilah is there!
